The disciples then asked, "Tell us, teacher, what will be the sign that your coming and the end of the age are about to take place?"

Jesus said to them: "You will hear of revolutions, and wars and rumors of wars. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines, pestilences and great earthquakes in various places. But do not be alarmed; such things must happen, and all these are only the beginning of birth pains."
